FREE Composting workshops for beginners

Free to attend, these composting workshops are funded by Cambridge City Council and delivered by our composting experts from Garden Organic. They will explore why composting is important, what we can all compost at home, and most importantly how to do it.

We'll discuss the ingredients you can and can't add to a compost bin aswell as the merits of the various compost bins available. As well as the free training you will also leave with a pack of useful resources including a copy of Garden Organic's 'Composting for Gardeners' Booklet. We look forward to seeing you there whether completely new to composting or experienced composter looking to pick up a few hints or tips, this workshop will cater for everyone.

Workshops are taking place on the following dates:
  • Wednesday 20th March 7-9pm - Brown’s Field Youth and Community Centre
  • Saturday 23rd March 10.30 – 12.30 - Ross Street Community Centre
  • Wednesday 27th March 5.00 – 6.30pm - Central Library
The sessions are suitable for all ages and composting experience, following the session you’ll be provided with information to access a subsidised compost bin and receive a copy of Garden Organic’s Composting for Gardeners booklet, to help get you started.
